Our Classroom
The goal of our program is to foster community sufficiency. We will learn how to utilize all of our skills and resources together. I see a need for real-life learning and understanding with the rapid shifts occurring globally in the areas impacting us all. Learning to accommodate the changes in our environment in regards to growing food, having clean water and creating sustainable shelter are issues that will be evermore pressing for our youngest generations.
Socio-economic challenges due to insecurities and limited resources will increasingly lead to unrest.
And advancements in technology may be used to invent solutions to secure the well-being of our global society.
Our curriculum takes us outside, in our unique environments which will serve as our classrooms!
Guidance, coursework, and project completion is performed together online and shared through:
video conferencing, our community blog, and a group discussion board.

Courses are project-based and research-intensive; using STEM platforms and historically credible data as study material. Successful completion of a course is determined by educated awareness of the researched topic and is exemplified through a well-prepared project. Grades 6 and up learn valuable skills and problem solve together, allowing students to share their unique perspectives. As I moderate the group discussions, I encourage our learners to foster alternative methods and creativity. Students will display ownership over their learning and prepare to become leaders through implementation; allowing them to find their agency when confronted with potential unprecedented future challenges.
